Generate a CELPIP-style email or survey prompt, write under a timed countdown, and receive a band-by-band breakdown across all four writing criteria.
VerbaNorth is a practice platform, not a tutor. The goal is to make the format feel familiar so you can focus on the questions — not the interface.
Headphones on, timer running. Timed sections with split-screen reading, single-pass audio, and a locked writing environment.
Listening and Reading are graded automatically. Writing is assessed by AI and broken down by rubric criteria. Speaking is timed and recorded, with AI band estimates where available.
Focus on the section that needs the most work. The Writing Lab generates fresh prompts on demand. Listening and Reading support section-only retakes.

Writing scores come from the production AI proxy when it is configured, with a local fallback rubric for offline testing. The score is useful for tracking progress, but it is not an official score.
Yes. From any test card, you can launch Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking on its own. Section-only attempts are saved separately from full mock attempts in your history.
Signed-in users save scores, profile details, and study plans to the VerbaNorth backend database. The browser keeps a local copy for fast page transitions and offline fallback.
You can preview pages without an account, but saving progress to the backend requires sign-in. Production AI calls use the server-side proxy so private API keys stay off the client.
