Five steps from your first session to a focused study routine.
Start with a full mock test to get a baseline across all four skills, or jump straight into a focused lab drill for a specific section you want to improve.
VerbaNorth currently offers CELPIP-style English practice.
Every practice session runs under real conditions — a countdown timer, one-play audio (for Listening), and timed response windows for Speaking. Taking practice tests under time pressure helps you build the pacing habits that matter on test day.
Listening and Reading sections score from an answer key automatically. Writing and Speaking produce AI band estimates within a few seconds of submission.
After each attempt, you receive a detailed breakdown. For Writing, this includes an estimated band across four rubric criteria, a full CLB 9–10 rewrite of your response for comparison, and vocabulary upgrade suggestions. For Speaking, you get an estimated band, rubric notes, and a pronunciation heatmap.
Important: AI scores on VerbaNorth are estimated practice feedback only. They are not official CELPIP scores and may differ from your actual test result.
Your Progress page tracks band estimates across all four skills over time. Wrong answers from Listening and Reading are saved to a spaced-repetition review queue — revisit them in the Review tool when they're due. The Vocabulary Builder uses the same spaced-repetition system (Day 0 → 1 → 3 → 7 → 14 → 30) to help lock in high-frequency CELPIP words.
Your Progress page shows a "This week's focus" card that identifies your weakest skill from recent attempts and links directly to the relevant practice tool. You can also override it manually — choose Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking — or leave it on Auto to let your score data decide. The study plan is rebuilt from your score history each time you visit, so it stays current as you improve.
Your onboarding study plan (weeks, target band, hours per week) gives you a phase-based roadmap. Each phase focuses on a different preparation priority so your effort is directed where it matters most.
